Why DivX video?

The DivX video allows larger high quality video to be more easily played on the web. After the DivX Web Player is installed, video will start playing immediately after the video link is clicked. You do not have to wait until the video is downloaded for it to begin playing. It plays as the video is being downloaded.

Instructions for installing the DivX Web Player

To view DivX video, you have to install a small and free DivX Web Player. It is very quick and easy to install. You only have to install the DivX Web Player once - the first time you play a DivX video. If it is installed correctly, DivX video will start playing automatically after you click on a DivX video link.

The steps to installing the DivX Web Player are:

1st Step: After you click on the video link, you will get a screen that asks “Do you want to install and run “DivX(R) Web Player . . . “ You should answer “Yes”.

2nd Step: The next screen is a “License Agreement”. Check the “Accept” box and click on “Next”.

3rd Step: The next screen is a “License Agreement Addenda”. Check the “Accept” box and click on “Next”

4th Step: The next screen will say “Choose Components”. The “DivX Web Player” should be checked. If not, check it and click “Next”.

5th Step: The final screen asks you to provide the destination folder. It should already be filled in with “c:\Program Files\DivX”. You can use the default or choose another location. Click “Install” .

6th Step: Click “Finish”.
